We are still seeking 4-Star Sponsors to donate two more benches for the memorial. Attached are the four benches currently on display in the memorial. Also, please contact me if you can help us obtain a HMMWV (Humvee) and MRAP as military display vehicles.
Attached is a copy of the dedication program that highlights the many folks who made the memorial and the dedication ceremony possible. Each memorial is a monumental community project and we need your continued support to complete all the memorials in our veterans park.
Attached is the 2014 Veterans Park Events Schedule and below are upcoming events:
· January 29nd at 5:00pm - Veterans Memorial Park Meeting at Brandon County Center, 311 Pauls Drive, Brandon, FL 33511.
· February 1, 2014 at 11:00am - The Spanish American War Dedication at Ceremony Veterans Memorial Park, 3602 Highway 301, Tampa, Florida 33619.
· March 1, 2014 at 11:00am - Committed Forces Memorial Dedication.
Please contact Bob Silmser at Rafkirk64@tampabay.rr.com if you were involved in the attached list of conflicts being honored in the Combine Forces Memorial and if would like a 5-10 speaking part in the dedication ceremony to share your personal experience with the audience.
Please reply YES if you would like to continue to receive veterans park emails or if you would like to join our non-profit group to help create the rest of the memorials plan for the park (Afghanistan War, Gulf War, Mexican War, WWI, WWII, etc.)
